SUMMERGLEN

1024 Homes In Ocala, Florida

We formed the SummerGlen Partners LLC partnership in 2003 to acquire the SummerGlen property in Ocala, Florida, which had been foreclosed by the bank of its previous developer. The community had already been developed with extensive infrastructure, an 18-hole championship golf course and fully developed homesites.

We faced the challenge of rejuvenating a failed community, but we realized that tremendous area growth could easily overcome the negatives and with proper marketing and management, the project could be revitalized successfully.

To accomplish this, we totally revamped the product line, architectural style and marketing image of the community. In addition, we planned for and built an extensive recreation/ amenities package to improve the attractiveness of the community.

This strategy proved successful. Since this acquisition, we have sold more than 775 homes, we are now developing the last of the six phases of the project's 1,024 home master plan.

We have also completed a 9,000 square foot Residents’ Club, a 6,300 square foot Golf Club Pro Shop and restaurant and an 8,000 square foot Grand Hall.
